It looks like we’re approaching the end of a long, eventful year. Don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to a few weeks at a more relaxed pace. I hope you have a great holiday season (for whatever holiday you may have on your calendar), and here’s to a much stronger 2009…
I’m stuck on the runway at O’hare waiting for our gate to free up. That’s it – just thought I would share.
Oh yeah, seems that our govenor is a crook (and a bit of an idiot), and no one I’ve spoken to seems too surprised. Huh.
it probably isn’t coincidence that the day we return to Chicago it’s only 26° and snowing. Why? Because it’s also the day my winter riding upgrades arrived! Pictured above is a brandy-new pair of Kenda Small-block cyclocross tires and a clamp-on rear fender – all destined to adorn the Redline shortly. The real question is – will this snow melt sometime before June, or should I have invested in spiked rubber instead?
Got back to Chicago last night. Today I plugged in my digital camera to download a few images from the trip and found a pleasant surprise – an image that I completely forgot about. I think this is pretty unique to the digital age we live in – a time where we can so easily fill data cards with stuff that we can shoot something interesting and just move on, completely forgetting the moment until it gets accidentally rediscovered one day in the future. Funny thing is that I STILL have no idea when I captured this pic, and I’m not sure what the subject is. Balloons? Anyone?
